By entering Bucks Dragons Den 2017, you could win £2,000-£5,000 worth of cash for your business idea! The competition is open to all Bucks New University students and graduates, and our 3 business categories – Creative industry, Commercial & Social Enterprise – mean that you can enter any idea no matter what course you’re on!
Up to 12 business start-ups will get the opportunity to pitch at the live event to secure funding. So make sure you fill out the business plan application in order to grab your place!
Do you have an idea or business within the creative industry?
One which involves crafts, music, art, publishing, advertising, fashion, graphic design, TV or Film!
Or perhaps you have an idea to link these creative people and industries together?

Each year we’ve awarded cash to Bucks New students and graduates with the best ideas and businesses.
We have the tools to support you with your ideas and run additional clinics to take your business idea to the next level! Additionally, you will receive mentoring and support from an industry professional within your chosen category!
You’ll have the chance to network and pitch to real entrepreneurs who have successfully turned their ideas into reality!
Meet our Judges 2017!
Mike Clare (Founder of Dreams Beds):
Mike was educated at High Wycombe College (now BNU) before opening Dreams bed store at the age of 30. Mike formed Clarenco LLP in 2009 and has now built up a property portfolio of amazing & unique venues under the “AmaZing Venues” division.
Nick Coleman (Co-Founder of Snaffling Pig):
In 2010, Nick co-founded ProCure Health t/a Medical Supermarket, a leading healthcare supplier. In 2014, he co-founded the Snaffling Pig Company, which makes big, bold flavoured pork crackling. In 2016, Nick and his business partner took part in BBC2 Dragons Den.
Imran Malik (Imran Malik LTD):
Imran started his journey at Sony Music working across press and online PR for a range of artists including Bob Dylan, Miguel, Patti Smith, Leonard Cohen, A$AP Rocky, and Raury. Imran was then appointed Senior Publicist at Columbia Records. He left in the summer of 2015 to set up his own company and work freelance.
Amelia-Eve Warden (Head of PR and Co-founder at P&C PR):
Amelia is the Co-founder and CEO of PR agency, P&C PR, and the UK’s Youngest PR Agency owner. Amelia holds an impressive portfolio of national and broadcast coverage. On top of this, Amelia has eight years’ experience in the music industry.
